Olivia Rodrigo has announced the release of a brand new documentary, Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film), which will take fans behind the making of her record-breaking debut album, Sour.
The project will be released on Disney Plus next month (March 25) and was directed by filmmaker Stacey Lee. The inspiration for the film comes from a road trip Olivia took from Salt Lake City (where she films High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) to her hometown of Los Angeles, where Sour’s ideas trained for the first time.
Driving Home 2 U will include “new live arrangements of her songs, intimate interviews and never-before-seen footage from the making of the album,” which Olivia mostly built with producer Dan Nigro (Conan Gray, Sky Ferreira).

With Sour, Olivia became one of the few artists to earn the rare Official Chart double, with the album topping the Official Albums Chart while Good 4 U still topped the Official Singles Chart – the youngest artist ever. rankings history to do so.
She broke even more records, make UK chart history as the first female artist to occupy three Top 5 spots on the official singles chart with Good 4 U (1), Driver’s License (4) and Traitor (5) earlier this year. The Official Charts Company also revealed that Good 4 U and Drivers License were the second and third biggest songs of 2021 respectively.
Olivia is heading to the UK to perform for the first time this year – her Sour Tour is coming to UK shores from June this year.
