Lizzo teams up with HBO Max to reveal documentary film

A few moments ago at Warner Bros Discovery Upfront in New York, it was announced that “About Fucking Time” performer will be the subject of a revealing documentary on HBOMax.

Lizzo trumpeted the news herself in person.

Realized by Doug prays (The Defiant Ones), the docu-movie about the GRAMMY winner has been in the works for some time.

Viewers will see how the star has gone from humble beginnings to one of the most recognizable names in the contemporary music space. There will be an intimate focus on the key moments – good and bad – that made her who she is today.

Lizzo said of the project:

“Growing up, I never dreamed of experiencing all the things I’ve done in my life, and I’m just getting started. I’m so excited to be able to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max. The news of the doc comes before the July 15th release of Lizzo’s new album ‘Special.’
