The powerful locally produced documentary ‘January 3rd’ will have a special screening at Kingscote next week.
The documentary film created by en plein air films and Sabrina Davis was an audience favorite at the recent Humans of Kangaroo Island film and literature festival in Parndana in October.
Ms Davis said she received many positive comments and several requests to screen it again elsewhere on the island.
The council have offered to screen the film at Kingscote Town Hall and the creators are inviting everyone to come and watch it at 7.30pm on Friday 3rd December.
There will be a small gate charge, which will be donated to support farmers affected by the fire.
And audiences can expect to hear a reading from Margi Prideaux and her new book “FIRE,” which will be released in 2022.
It will be followed by the screening of the documentary film.

“The film tells the stories of many islanders directly affected by the fires and their experiences of the most tragic fire day of the black summer,” Ms Davis said.
“Their memories are followed by the outpouring of love our island home has experienced from all over the world and a showcase of everyone’s recovery efforts.”
